Quick news: WBUR interview

Hi all. I have a quick bit of news— recently I conducted an interview with Martha Bebinger of WBUR, an NPR affiliate. The subject was medical transition for nonbinary trans people, amongst whom I now count myself. The interview is going to air at some point tomorrow, March 23rd, and you can find the story on WBUR’s website after 7 am that day. If you’re able to tune in as a Boston-area resident, then the station is 90.9 FM. I hope that they were able to get a good edit of everything I had to say— not only was I prone to my usual wordiness, but I was in a hurry and this is also a topic that deserves a great deal of careful nuance. Martha was very nice, though. Feel free to listen in if you are curious about some (perhaps occasionally TMI) information on my experiences on and now (for one year) off of testosterone therapy.

Edit (3/23/15): Here’s the story. As I know sometimes people read stories about trans people and wonder, “Did the reporter actually portray them in a way that they found respectful?”— I will tell you that at least in writing I’m perfectly fine with it. I haven’t listened to the audio yet because I’m self-conscious about hearing my voice on recordings. Thanks again to Martha for the opportunity.
